mixture over the surface of turf grass. Mostly used on
warm weather turf grasses such as
Bermuda, Centipede and Zoysia. Cool season turf grass, such as
Fescue, can also benefit from topdressing. Topdressing for warm
weather grass types consists of coarse sand, inert organic humus and
our INTELLIGENT Fertilizer.

How
does topdressing help the turf?
Topdressing is then applied at a rate of approximately 1/8" to
1/4" layer over the surface of the turf. Topdressing helps eliminate
thatch. Thatch is the accumulation of dead grass clippings and the
dead stem of the plant. Topdressing retains moisture, heat and
microbes to assist in the decomposition of the thatch layer.
Topdressing also helps fill in depressions and low areas of the
turf. This allows for a smoother cutting of the leaf.
